Here are some common myths other countries believe about the Irish and how true they are written by an outsider who's now a little more of an insider. Read more

there is history and culture in mississauga

From we move to canada, Today, Read 0 times. Similar articles

Yesterday my mom and I did some exploring in Mississauga. Allan and Tala joined us for most of it. First we headed south to the Lakeshore, where there are many parks and beautiful stretches of the Waterfront Trail. (The Waterfront Trail runs through twenty-two parks in Mississauga.) We wandered through the Rhododendron Gardens, which we've passed many times but never went in, since we're usually on our way to a leash-free dog park. Although it isn't the season for rhododendrons to bloom, the... Read more

Jump to the full entry & travel map Mexico City, Central Mexico and Gulf Coast, MexicoI normally don't like to do tours when I am in a city. If public transport is readily available, I usually take it to see the local sights. It's definitely cheaper, you feel more like a local (although you might still stand out based on your appearance), it's fun, and you get a deeper sense of the day-to-day life of a different culture. But the... Read more

Pop culture vs. high art'

From Rose Deniz, Yesterday, Read 0 times. Similar articles

I'm a latecomer to the Glee obsession. My August NaNoWriMo writing binge was followed by three days of the first season of Glee with breaks to sleep, eat, shower, and feed my kids. It has become a post-project ritual to dive into entire seasons of shows and catch up on movies I've missed. Glee is research, I reason. I just finished the first draft of a young adult novel and don't want to appear clueless about American pop culture. At the same time, I've been following along with... Read more
