We're BAAAAAACKUH

From My FAmily moves to India, Today, Read 0 times. Similar articles

Yes, along with many other expatriate families who fled Chennai for spring break, we are back. I'm always a bit nervous when I see families I know at the airport because they are seeing us at our worst - line-jumping, yelling, bed-head hair worst. So, for now and for always, I apologize. It's really S who keeps pushing us to the front of the line (well, if you can call it a line), and if I don't keep up with him, he'll leave us. Only 17 hours of flight time, plus layovers, to God's own... Read more

Medan, Worst City Ever

From Indonesia News, 2 days ago, Read 0 times. Similar articles

Is Medan the worst city in the world' An Australian expatriate in Jakarta whines his heart out. An Australian Associated Press article about Medan, "Worst. City. Ever." published in the Age newspaper by one Adam Gartrell begins vitriolically: Dear Medan. I hate you. Not happy I visited you recently and found you the most unpleasant, charmless and thoroughly depressing city I've ever encountered. And I've visited plenty of s---holes in my time. Adam, who lives and works in Jakarta as AAP's... Read more

24/7 Magazine | Boards.ie

From ExPad.ie, 5 days ago, Read 0 times. Similar articles

For the last few years I’ve been a solid lurker on the boards.ie photography forum, which is a profound source of photographic help, information, inspiration and the rest. I spotted a thread late in its development this week, suggesting a 24/7 challenge. The idea was that photographers would shoot images and the volunteer editors would produce a magazine with the results, all within a 24-hour period, on the 24th of the 7th, July 24. I was planning on taking a stroll down to the... Read more

From Mexican-Living-Guanajuato, 5 days ago, Read 0 times. Similar articles

This blog post will not be about Guanajuato. It will be about another area of Mexico, Puerto Vallarta, which is on the West Coast of the country and a mega-popular tourist and expat spot. The post I will be quoting is from someone concerned about safety in Vallarta. There are a lot of forum posts lately that ask about safety concerns and rightfully so. Let's see what this person said:"I've already done my fair share of research and haven't found anything badabout crime in PV. I went on... Read more
