Exploring Tokyo, July 2010

From La Fuji Mama, Today, Read 0 times. Similar articles

If someone had told me a few years ago that I would have a group of friends that I had made on the internet, I would have thought that they were crazy.  Fast forward to the present, and that is exactly what has happened.  Life as a food blogger has given me a community that has the same passion for life and food as I do.  I feel truly blessed to have met many of these friends in real life.  One such friend is Mac, the creative force behind Dishin’ In The Kitchen.  I say... Donuts, @jakeadelstein and everything: It's all connected

From Our Man in Abiko, Yesterday, Read 0 times. Similar articles

Our Man is being de-briefed as we speak in Blighty, but he just thought he would break radio silence to say: everything is connected. There was Our Man not 50 minutes ago making a cup of tea in Our Little Sister's Victorian terrace, about to tuck into a Krispy Kreme donut for breakfast, when the wireless in the kitchen picked up BBC Radio 4 and the nasal tones of Jake Adelstein (OK, an actor doing his best Jake Adelstein turn) reading bits from his Tokyo Vice book about how to cultivate contacts... From TravelJapanBlog, 2 days ago, Read 0 times. Similar articles

I wish there were more skies like these in Tokyo during the spring and summer. Usually the sky is completely white due to the humidity, but sometimes we get lucky. I took this pic after we left Gyosen Park and crossed the Arakawa into Sumida Ku. Nagoya-jo

From Chipango, 2 days ago, Read 0 times. Similar articles

A brief scientific visit at Nagoya University brought us to another Japanese town which was new to us. Nagoya doesn’t exactly count as a tourist destination. Which was all the better, since the sweltering heat didn’t make sightseeing seem a desirable choice. We thus contented ourselves with some early morning sightseeing stints, which were nonetheless rather intense. Nagoya is, if anything, even hotter than Tokyo. Nagoya’s most important sight is its castle, Nagoya-jo (????).... Read more

From Eat Your Kimchi, 2 days ago, Read 0 times. Similar articles

ShareSince we got our new camera, we feel artsy-fartsy every once in a while, like you can see in our Ajosshis video a little while back. Today's another one of those days that we feel artsy. So we made a Korea version of it. Martina and I took the taxi home from Seoul, and - hell - Seoul's so beautiful at night that we had... Read more
