Waiting

From Wife Overseas, 4 month ago, Read 0 times. Similar articles

E and I are feeling anxious. Spurred by E's new employer requesting he start work on March 23rd or April 6th, we handed in notice on our house on Monday.  Now we need to be out by the end of the month. But E's contract hasn't yet to put in an appearance so we hover in limbo land. Psychologically not good, though we have don't doubt that it will all work out. Still, it would nice to see the piece of paper. As a distraction, I've discovered that PD can be vacuumed, so now to save him the trouble... Read more

The Sweet Spot

From Canadutch, 4 month ago, Read 0 times. Similar articles

It appears that I am not the only one looking forward to spring!  The sun has finally started showing itself in the Netherlands again and Spencer took full advantage by finding this warm sweet spot on a shelf in our living room. Everything seems to be starting to come to life again.  I see flowers starting to poke up through the grass, the sun is coming out again and making us all feel alive and I know it's just a matter of time before the buds are on the trees. I read today that we are... Read more

Birthday at the Blue Elephant

From Want to be a free thinker but a , 4 month ago, Read 0 times. Similar articles

My friend Karen Firbank picked me up in her Jag last night and we drove into London to celebrate my birthday and Tessa Elphick's. I had my drugs and back pillow handy because of the problems I've been having with a lumbar disc this week. That along with a few mango juice champagnes at the restaurant and my friends made for a wonderful evening - a birthday to remember. The restaurant Karen picked -- the Blue Elephant in Fulham, London, is fantastic. The food is incredible but the restaurant is... Read more

Outsourcing to the Philippines with Dan from Tropical MBA

From The Journal Of An Entrepreneur T, 4 month ago, Read 0 times. Similar articles

For those that have been following my blog for a while know that I’m a huge fan of outsourcing as much of my work as possible. I’ve been outsourcing since I started out online when I was frustrated with trying to learn how to code, which eventually lead me visiting India when I was 19 to meet developers and designers over there. One area of outsourcing that I’ve not really looked into until now, is hiring people in the Philippines. So today I thought I’d pick the... Read more

London Food Wrap-Up

From Parla Food, 4 month ago, Read 0 times. Similar articles

I have just returned from London where I shamelessly gorged myself on all sorts of delicious and magical foods. I certainly didn’t achieve all of my culinary goals, but I did put a good dent into my interminable list of places to eat before I die (admittedly some dramatic wording but you should see my cholesterol levels–im just being a realist). Here are some of the places where I enjoyed some wonderful food and beverages: L’Anima: Amazing creative Italian in the heart of the... Read more

The Amish Cook at Home....

From All About Me And A Bag Of Chips., 4 month ago, Read 0 times. Similar articles

I quite often borrow cook books from the library, I like to do this because it gives me the chance to look through and decide if I like enough of the recipes to justify me buying the book!Recently I brought home a copy of THE AMISH COOK AT HOME (<--LINK) It is a nice looking book, lovely photos, great lay out, nice stories and the recipes look good. That being said, I don't think this will be one that I will buy. Although the recipes sound good, a lot of them seem to be ones you could... Read more
